Sunday Snippet – Game Plan
Since tomorrow is Canada Day, I’m pulling eight sentences from GAME PLAN. There’s an integral scene in Game Plan that occurs on Canada Day, as the hero takes the heroine to meet his friends and family for the first time, at his family’s annual barbecue bash. Andie’s nervous, so to distract her as they’re making their entrance, Mason has this to say to her…
“All right, here’s one thing I’ve been thinking about all week — you, naked on your stomach, hands stretched above your head while I do a dot-to-dot using your freckles and my tongue. I’m gonna start with the one under your left ear.”
“Where’s the last dot?”
The squeaky gate drew attention. At least half a dozen pairs of eyes zoned in on their next move. He smiled at their audience, lowered his head to whisper in her ear, “Are you aware of the little mole you have down low in the crack of your ass?”
She turned her head to face him, wide-eyed. Yeah, she knew exactly where he planned to put his tongue.

Sunday Snippet – Body of Work
It’s summer here! Finally! Today’s Sunday snippet is from BODY OF WORK, and comes to you as part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme. It’s summer where Brian and Cassie are, too. In this excerpt, they’re in her backyard, attempting to have a dinner date, but Cassie’s barbeque has just died a spectacular death on her patio, and she’s agreed to let him get rid of the debris for her.
And, here we go, with the snippet. Take it away, Brian…
“Anything else I can take care of?”
She tapped a finger on his chest and tried not to giggle. Or give too much credence to his offer, tempting as it was to picture him as the man of her house. “Do you do yard work?”
“I do.” A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. The wind that followed set fire to her panties. “But I know for a fact you don’t have a bush that needs trimming.”

Sunday Snippet-Body of Work
Welcome. đ Today’s bite-sized excerpt is from BODY OF WORK, and is part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme.
This snippet finds Brian at Cassie’s house for a dinner date…only they’re not thinking about food, unless you consider catnip salad?Â
âYouâre like catnip. I want to rub my body against you and purr.â
âI donât have a problem with that.â His fingertips slid under the hemline of her top. âI like it when you purr.â
âWhat about when I scratch?â She raked her fingernails upward, through his hair. âOr bite?â
Cassie has fantasized about the ginger-haired personal trainer for months. Brian is friendly, but never moreâuntil he appears on her doorstep and shows her how much her flirting has affected him. The more sheâs with him, the more Cassie wants the fairytale, not just hot sex with the six-two hunk. She can give Brian full access to her body, but after her exâs reaction to her explicit photography business, sharing her secrets, and her heart, isnât an option.
Brian knows better than to break the rules. Donât date gym members. Keep his inner beast on a leash during sex. Cassie tested his resolve on number one her first day in the gym. Shattered the second rule when he touched her. The petite pixie shares his preferences in the bedroom. She makes him laugh and loveâbut past mistakes haunt him, emotionally and tangibly. Cassieâs worth the price heâll pay for breaking the rules. Now he must convince her to give him her heart.

Sunday Snippet-Body of Work
Sunday Snippet time, courtesy of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme.
This week’s bite-sized excerpt is from BODY OF WORK, my new release featuring a 6’2″ ginger-haired personal trainer hero. He also moonlights as a bouncer at a bar, which is where this scene with the heroine takes place.
Cupping her tiny waist, he lifted her from the spot, took a few steps to the right and deposited her on the floor. âStay.â
Sneaky little pixie darted around him and plastered her back against the damn door. âIâm not your pet.â
He crowded her. Curled his fingers under her choker-style necklace and tipped her face up. âIf you were, youâd be better trained.â
Add this yummy, ginger alpha male to your Goodreads shelf, or pick him up from your favorite e-book retailer.

Sunday Snippet-Body of Work
It’s June! How did this happen? đ
Thanks for stopping by to check out my Sunday snippet. This excerpt is from my May release, BODY OF WORK, and comes to you via the Weekend Warrior Writers.
She handed the bartender the cash and lifted the glass. The aromas of sugar and alcohol filled her nose. She believed him that itâd taste good, but she bet the innocent-looking concoction still held the power to numb her face. âItâs really pretty, what is it?â
âLoch Ness Monster.â
âOoh, sounds dangerous — should I be scared?â
Another laugh as he placed her change on the bar. âOnly if you have multiple sightings.â
Yup, that’s a real drink. Here’s how you make it:
In a glass, layer equal quantities of melon liqueur, Bailey’s Irish Cream, and Jägermeister, in that order. Then, bottoms up!

Welcome! Click here if you’re looking for the Wet & Wild Hop.
Today’s Sunday Snippet comes from my May release, BODY OF WORK, and is part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme.
The heroine, Cassie, is a photographer. In this snippet, she’s getting ready to shoot a couple of her repeat clients, Paolo and Beth. I hope this excerpt makes you curious about Cassie’s photography business, and well, the rest of the book, too! đ
Paolo was a demanding partner, sexually — unyielding and rough at times. Through it all, his complete adoration of Beth was more obvious than the sun on the most brilliant summer day. And it went both ways. Cassie had shot her share of engagement and wedding photos, pictures of couples allegedly at the pinnacle of true love. None of those brides or brides-to-be compared to the depth of emotion Cassie saw in Bethâs eyes. Every time Paolo reddened Bethâs porcelain skin with his palm, paddle or teeth, Cassie saw Bethâs love for him ratchet higher. She gave what he wanted. He took what she needed him to take.

Sunday Snippet-Body of Work
This Sunday’s eight sentences are from my new release, BODY OF WORK, and part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme.
In this snippet, Cassie has arrived at the gym and she’s walking through the parking lot.
She spied Brianâs dark-green Jeep near the door. Due to last nightâs storm, the top was up and the doors in place. Not the norm. The man preferred it stripped to the bare bones, a deathtrap on four thick wheels. Sheâd only seen him driving it one time, but the image was a keeper. Ginger-haired lumberjack of a man with one hand on the wheel, one hand on the roll bar overhead, his left foot sticking out the doorless gap as he peeled into the lot. A manâs vehicle had never done much for her until the day she saw Brian in this Jeep. Consider her among the converted.
Can you picture him? I hope so!
BODY OF WORK is now available from Amazon, Kobo, All Romance, Ellora’s Cave.

In this scene, Brian and Cassie are in her bedroom, ‘together’ together for the first time. They’ve agreed to swap evidence of their mutual attraction, which, to this point, neither had acted on. It’s Cassie’s turn to â˛fess up.
âââ
âI took your picture at the gym — with my phone — more than one picture, actually.â
A massive grin spread across his face. âYou really are sneaky. What did you do with the pictures?â
Oh, the usual, propped the phone against her pillow and looked at them while masturbating. âNothing.â She sounded like a woman whoâd crossed the desert without a drop to drink.
âIâd like to see that.â
âââ

Her hands snaked up his chest, her nails making him shudder as they scraped the back of his neck then pushed through his hair. âI always wondered about this, how it would feel.â
Felt like fucking heaven to him. âAnd?â
âVery soft.â She arched her body tight against his. âUnlike the rest of you.â

Sunday Snippet-04/28/2013 – Body of Work
Welcome, and thanks for stopping by. Today’s eight-sentence snippet is part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme, and comes from the early pages of my May 1st release, BODY OF WORK.
The past couple weeks have been from Cassie’s POV, as she finishes her workout and drools over the handsome, ginger-haired personal trainer at the gym. (Click here for previous snippets.) In the following excerpt, we’re with the hero, Brian, later that same night.
Brian rolled to a stop on Sloane Street. He killed the engine and stared through the rain-covered window of his Jeep at the white bungalow. If he did this, if he knocked on Cassieâs door at quarter to one in the morning, thereâd be no going back.
A man could only take so much. The petite brunette had caught his eye from day one. Sheâd been torturing him for monthsâchatting, teasing him with comments that made her blush, openly flirting with him while she exercised. Heâd have made his move immediately if not for his stupid contract.
Which led him back to the decision at handâto knock on her door or drive away?
Only a few more days until BODY OF WORK hits the virtual shelves! For now, you can read an excerpt or add it to Goodreads. (There’s already an ARC review up there, if you’re interested.)
