Sunday Snippet – CROSSING THE LINE – Derrick Pops A Question
Thanks for stopping by the read my Sunday Snippet, part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme.
Today’s excerpt is from CROSSING THE LINE, now on sale for a limited time for 99 cents. If sexy, edgy, emotional romance (and some hot menage action) sounds good to you, I think this one’s up your alley!
A little background info & setup: Derrick and Hanna have been married eight years, and Jeremy is Derrick’s lifelong best friend. Derrick has asked Jeremy to meet him for a drink after work…
“I want to give Hanna something. Something I know she’s wanted for a long time.”
Jeremy settled against the patio chair, using its hard plastic ribs to scratch a spot in the middle of his back. “So what’s the thing—diamonds, a trip to Europe, a puppy?”
“A threesome.”
If he’d had anything in his mouth, it’d be two tables over now. “Fuck off, seriously?”
“Seriously.” Derrick’s index finger tapped the back of his phone where it rested on the table. Tap, tap, tap. Tap, tap, tap.
The pictures Derrick had shown him. Wanting to talk to him about something. No fucking way. “Holy shit. You’re asking me, aren’t you?”
Blurb
Lifelong best friends Derrick and Jeremy met Hanna at a bar ten years ago. Both wanted her—one married her. Now the other man has been invited to join in for one hot weekend.
Everything would’ve been fine if they’d had their fun that weekend, then gone back to normal. But they didn’t. And when past demons resurface, things will never be the same—for any of them.
Get it for 99 cents now, from:
PS: I will continue posting short excerpts for my Sunday snippet, as I have done every week for several years, but this is my last week linking to an organized meme. I hope you’ll keep checking back to read my little offerings. Thanks to everybody who has stopped by!

Taking a deep breath, this writer says, “WOW!. That is crossing the line.” And what happens next? Oh for a Kindle.

Haha! This is great. I love it! Very interesting. He is definitely crossing the line. I actually had this happen with a good friend of mine and I truly miss her. Her husband made our friendship awkward, I had to tell her of course, which I may regret doing because it pulled us apart. I do like this snippet though. I’m interested to see how the story plays out in fiction.

One way to make his wife happy! Though the repercussions on their friendship could be unfortunate, depending on how well everyone shares…
