It’s a rainy Sunday where I am, but it’s sunny and hot, hot, hot where Derrick, Hanna and Jeremy are. Today’s snippet is an immediate extension of last week’s scene from CROSSING THE LINE. Now, let’s see what Jeremy has in mind for his thank-you…
“Here, n-now…but somebody might come along and catch us,” she said, shivering at Derrick’s answer, or maybe at Jeremy’s sinful lips smiling down at her.“Odds of that are pretty good.” Jeremy caught her hands and pulled her away from the safety of Derrick’s body, past the lounge chairs, to the edge of the pool. “Since we’ll be swimming.” Without further warning, he dove in, his very fine body slicing the surface without spraying a single drop of water in her direction.
“How is it—warm?” she asked when he resurfaced.
“Let’s find out.” In a heartbeat, Derrick scooped her into his arms, took a couple of running steps, drew up his knees and cannonballed them both into the deep end.

Welcome back for another eight-sentence-long Sunday snippet. This week’s morsel is from CROSSING THE LINE, my married-couple ménage and edgiest book to date. Derrick and Hanna have been together a decade, and Derrick wants to give his wife the hottest birthday present ever—a threesome. With his lifelong best friend.
In this snippet, Derrick has asked Jeremy to meet for a beer after work. Derrick has a plan, and Jeremy has no idea what’s coming…

“You cue up a video,” her tongue slid along her plump bottom lip, “and I’ll grab a few things from the bedroom.”So they could act out a three-way scene, something they both loved doing. “The videos you watch, the stuff we pretend—we can do that if you want. Really do it.”
A couple of seconds ticked by before it clicked. “No, Derrick, I don’t need that…just you, you’re all I need.”

Welcome, it’s Sunday Snippet time, part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme.
Today’s eight-sentence snippet is from CROSSING THE LINE. A reader left the most amazing review of Crossing on Amazon this week, and it reminded me how much I love this story & these characters.
In this snippet, Hanna, the heroine, is talking to her best friend about the weekend trip she’s embarking on — which happens to be a threesome weekend with her husband and his lifelong best friend — but Megan doesn’t know who the “third” is. To appease her nosy friend, Hanna is describing the guy.
“He’s a bit over six feet with short, dark hair. A strong nose—”“Wait — is that a nice way of saying he has a big honker?”
