Cover Reveal – GIFT WRAPPED
It’s time! I love cover reveals, they’re so fun & exciting. Especially when they’re mine. đ
So, here it is… the cover for my upcoming holiday release, GIFT WRAPPED, coming this November to steam up your e-reader!
Blurb
After catching her boyfriend cheating the week before Christmas, Brinn is seriously lacking in holiday spirit. So when she looks into the eyes of a last-minute shopper after closing on Christmas Eve, sheâs sarcastic rather than sympathetic. But Brinn is ever the good girl and her conscience wins out. She offers the handsome stranger ten minutes to select a gift and ends up with a present of her ownâa date. On Christmas Eve.
Davis hates Christmas. Especially this year, since a neighborhood heist liberated him of his hard-earned belongings and the few gifts heâd purchased. But the robbery led him to a cute store manager with a sense of humor, smokinâ body and no plans for the evening. Mistletoe might be in order after all.
Their Christmas Eve date is like gift-wrapped, sexy satisfaction. But the best gifts keep on giving, and one naughty night may not be enoughâfor either of them.
I’d love to hear what you think of the cover, the blurb, the excerpt… I hope you’re as excited about Davis & Brinn’s fun holiday romance as I am! đ

Sunday Snippet – CROSSING THE LINE – Credit or Debit
Thanks for stopping by to read the Sunday snippet. đ This week’s offering follows hot on the heels of last week’s excerpt, where Derrick asked his lifelong best friend, Jeremy, to join in for a threesome, as a birthday present for his wife. Quite the question. Quite the present!
Here’s what Jeremy had to say…
“Say you do this threesome thing. You really think that when the moment comes, pardon the pun, youâll be okay letting somebody else touch Hanna? Watching your wife get wild with another guy? Because once itâs done, itâs done, no going back. It could fuck up your relationship permanently.â
âIt wonât. Not if youâre the third.â
âIâm not sure if thatâs a credit to my loyalty or an insult to my masculinity.â
I love this story and these damaged characters, and I hope you will too. CROSSING THE LINE is on sale for 99¢ until October 15th, so grab a copy asap!

Sunday Snippet – CROSSING THE LINE – Derrick Pops A Question
Thanks for stopping by the read my Sunday Snippet, part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme.
Today’s excerpt is from CROSSING THE LINE, now on sale for a limited time for 99 cents. If sexy, edgy, emotional romance (and some hot menage action) sounds good to you, I think this one’s up your alley!
A little background info & setup: Derrick and Hanna have been married eight years, and Jeremy is Derrick’s lifelong best friend. Derrick has asked Jeremy to meet him for a drink after work…
âI want to give Hanna something. Something I know sheâs wanted for a long time.â
Jeremy settled against the patio chair, using its hard plastic ribs to scratch a spot in the middle of his back. âSo whatâs the thingâdiamonds, a trip to Europe, a puppy?â
âA threesome.â
If heâd had anything in his mouth, itâd be two tables over now. âFuck off, seriously?â
âSeriously.â Derrickâs index finger tapped the back of his phone where it rested on the table. Tap, tap, tap. Tap, tap, tap.
The pictures Derrick had shown him. Wanting to talk to him about something. No fucking way. âHoly shit. Youâre asking me, arenât you?â

Sunday Snippet – CROSSING THE LINE – Fucking Ties
Thanks for checking in for today’s Sunday Snippet, part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme. For the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing excerpts from CROSSING THE LINE, which is currently on sale for 99¢.
CROSSING THE LINE is edgier than my other books. It’s also my favorite, in that I continue to think about this story and these characters more than any of others. I hope you’ll pick up a copy while it’s on sale and give it a try. And if you do… enjoy the ride. đ
âFucking ties. What idiot invented these things?â Derrick snapped the strip of gray silk from its stranglehold around his neck. âTo hell with it, not doing it,â he said, launching the thing at a garbage can.
His best friend Jeremy raised his dark eyebrows, but left the tie where itâd landed. âI have a solution. We pretend I won the coin toss that night. I get the girl, you get to avoid the marital noose.â
Intrigued, I hope? đ

Sunday Snippet – ICING ON THE CAKE – Don’t Take This The Wrong Way
Happy Sunday, all. Time for another snippet from ICING ON THE CAKE. I love Curtis & Sara, I hope you do too. (You can catch up on previous excerpts here.)
And don’t forget to check out all the Sunday snippet participants over at Weekend Writing Warriors. She turned sideways on her seat to better face him. âDonât take this the wrong way, but why donât you have a wife, or a steady girlfriend, at least?â
The question elicited an amused snort from the hunky driver. âIs there a right way to take a comment that starts with âdonât take this the wrong wayâ?â
âGood point. Okay, so youâre hot, you seem nice enough, and you have a wicked car thatâs almost as cool as mine,â she paused for another grunt-like laugh from the driverâs side of the vehicle. âYouâre a cop, which most women seem to lose their ever-loving minds over. But youâre older than Conn, meaning youâre nearing the end of your peak years, and youâre still unattached. I guess the real question isâwhatâs wrong with you?â
âOh man. Glad I didnât take your original question the wrong way.â

Nia and Connâs wedding will be fairytale perfectâŚif their siblings can get along.
Free-spirited, anti-establishment Sara has always been on the outside of her familyâs fairytale mold. Now sheâs being forced smack into the middle of it at her sister Niaâs wedding. Alongside the cocky and annoyingly sexy best manâConnâs cop brother.
Curtis doesnât buy in to organized romance and fairytales. But for his brother, heâll throw on a tux and fake it for a few hours. His flak vest would have been a better choice around the maid of honor. He should have brought his handcuffs too, because somebody needs to restrain the dark-haired spitfireâand heâs just the man for the job.
One night to indulge the spark between them, then goodbyeâthat was the agreement. Curtis isnât looking for a relationship and he sure doesnât want a troublemaker for a girlfriend. The last thing Sara needs in her daily life is a cop looking over her shoulder, no matter how hot he is.
But giving in to their chemistry is much more fun than giving it upâŚ

But since I’m not that kind of writer, I decided to work like a maniac and finish up a holiday story now, so you can enjoy some sexy Christmas fun with Brinn & Davis this fall. đ

Sunday Snippet – ICING ON THE CAKE – Pump It
It’s Sunday snippet time, part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme.
This week’s fun follows shortly after last week’s excerpt. (Catch up on all the snippets from ICING ON THE CAKE here.) Curtis is driving Sara’s car, and he has pulled into a gas station because her tank is almost empty.
âIâll pump it,â she said, going for the door handle.
He caught her arm and pulled her toward him. âSave your pumping for later.â
She rolled her eyes, though clearly for effect. Her smile gave her away, whether sheâd intended it to or not. âItâs my car. I can pump my own gas.â
âNot while Iâm around.â He hopped out, grabbed the doorframe and leaned back into the vehicle. âUnless youâre wearing short-shorts, high heels and a bikini top. Then Iâm going to insist that you pump the gas. While I supervise, of course.â
âOh my god, dude. ClichĂŠ much?â
âThereâs a reason clichĂŠs exist, babe. They work.â

Sunday Snippet – ICING ON THE CAKE – Take A Walk
Welcome to the Sunday Snippet, an eight-sentence excerpt brought to you as part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme.
We’re with Curtis & Sara from ICING ON THE CAKE, Book 2 of the Close to Home series. They’re in Sara’s car, after she fled their siblings’ wedding rehearsal party. Catch up with past snippets here.
He took his eyes off the road to give her the raised-eyebrows lookâapparently a Lawler-family trait. âJealous that your sister beat you to the walk down the aisle?â
âHell no. Iâd rather do the walk of shame.â
His deep, husky laugh filled the car and he smiled. A sexy-as-fucking-sin smile that brought her nipples to a full salute. âSounds like the better walk to me. Maybe you want to take one tomorrow?â

Sunday Snippet – ICING ON THE CAKE – Stay On Top
Welcome back for another Sunday Snippet, part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme. This week, we’re still with Curtis & Sara from ICING ON THE CAKE. (You can catch up with the story here.) In this bite-sized excerpt, Curtis is with Sara after she fled her sister’s wedding rehearsal party in a mess of heightened emotions.
âYou going to answer that?â he asked when I Got You Babe, the song she used for her ringtone, started up again, signaling a second incoming call.
âNo.â She ignored the music and the tingling awareness that told her Curtis was staring.
âItâs probably your family, making sure youâre okay.â
âMaking sure Iâm not going to fuck up Niaâs wedding any more than I already have, you mean.â
âThat too.â
She snorted and turned to face him. âWasnât it your job to keep me out of trouble?â
He didnât outright smile, but his lips twitched and telltale crinkles formed at the corners of his eyes. âI didnât realize Iâd have to be on top of you every second. But Iâm more than willing to assume that position for the remainder of the weekend.â

Sunday Snippet – ICING ON THE CAKE – Warning
Happy Sunday! Time for another snippet from ICING ON THE CAKE, coming to you as part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme.
This bite follows not too long after last week’s offering. (Catch up here if you haven’t been following Curtis & Sara’s story.) Still at the wedding rehearsal party held at her parents’ home, Sara decides to follow Curtis when he and a handful of their family members wander out of sight. Curtis’ older sister, Lindsay, join Sara, suggesting the group may have gone around back to admire Curtis’ vintage ’67 Mustang.
“I keep telling Curtis if he gave a woman half the attention he invests in his car, he might find himself with an actual girlfriend instead of a little black book full of crossed-out names.â
âMaybe thatâs why he focuses on the Mustang.”
âSad but true. Unlike Conn, my other brother does not want to be caught.â
âIf youâre trying to warn me off, Lindsayâno need.â
âReally?â Lindsay gave Sara the raised-eyebrow treatment. âBecause a person would have to be not only blind, but utterly sensory deprived to miss the âIâm not sure if I want to dropkick you or fuck youâ looks you two have been shooting each other.â
